Andrew Lefkowitz - Cleveland-Based Biotech Entrepreneur
A Cleveland, Ohio entrepreneur, Andrew Lefkowitz most recently headed a biotech fermentation enterprise as CEO and chairman. His company delivered environmentally friendly chemicals that contribute to carbon goals and take the place of traditional chemical products. Tasked with ensuring worldwide regulatory compliance, Andrew Lefkowitz achieved co-inventor listing on nearly a dozen patents. He also excelled in financing activities, helping to raise more than $220 million for the company.
Mr. Lefkowitz’ past leadership roles include CEO of Ganeden Biotech, where he was integral to the development of next generation over-the-counter (OTC) compounds that were licensed and distributed worldwide. An accounting graduate of Miami University in Ohio, he completed his juris doctor at Case Western Reserve University. Mr. Lefkowitz’ legal experience includes working in the LA and Dallas law firm offices of Jones, Day in the 1980s, representing public entities, as well as investment bankers in matters involving municipal and multi-family housing financings.
Andrew Lefkowitz has an extensive community commitment that includes cofounding and serving on the board of the Chaviva School for Girls and serving on the Wellness Institute Leadership Board of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
